Since 1913 IVEX Specialty Paper, LLC has been nestled along the banks of the Illinois River in Peoria Illinois. The mill was originally the Illinois Paper Company, built in 1912 by Judson M. Bemis, an Illinois farmer. Manufacturing began in 1913. The plant was built with a paper mill and a small bag factory to produce white coated flour sack paper and consumer size flour bags. In the 1920's the name of the plant was changed to the Bemis Bro. Bag Co. In 2005 the mill was acquired by Forest Resources. Forest Resource's Mill focused on specialized service, allowing the customer the freedom to consider us part of their organization for their paper and specialty paper needs.

In July, 2015 IVEX Specialty Paper, LLC was acquired by New-Indy JV Corporation. New-Indy is a joint venture that was formed in 2012 by the Kraft Group and Schwarz Partners, LP, two family-owned companies with long histories in paper and packaging. New-Indy Containerboard, comprised of two recycled containerboard mills in California (Oxnard and Ontario), was the first acquisition for the JV. Together, the two mills produce 570,000 tons of linerboard and corrugating medium each year, primarily serving the west coast sheet and corrugator plants. Open and closed screens in traditional photogravure:

A screen results in a structure of equally sized holes in the cylinder i.e. the surface is for all the same, the depth may vary depending on whether it should represent a dark spot [deeper] or light spot [shallow]. The walls between the holes are equally thick all-over the cylinder. This is the normal situation where with the right amount of ink the screen structure looks very regular. Occasionally due to too much ink applied some "rivers" may show, but this still represents a nornal, open screen!

But should during the etching process, the walls between the holes have been affected i.e,. broken through or demolished , then the regular screen appearance disappears totally and we get what I call a "closed" screen"! In Mexican stamps - the Exportas in particular - it often shows and indicates the use of different cylinders!

Having two sets of cylinders, can be seen in the 4.30 Aereo with strawberries. Probably the first set [of two] cylinders was a failure and two new, better cylinders were produced. The first printing of 200.000 sheets was delivered in 1975 [partly in 1976][, the second printing of 200.000 in 1977.
