Wijzigingen qua drukprocédé komen tijdens de levensduur van een emissie weinig voor. In Nederland is men voor de Lebeau- of Duifje-serie overgegaan van offset-druk op rasterdiepdruk. Aan deze overgang wordt in de Nederlandse catalogi niet of onvoldoende aandacht besteed. Ook als binnen een serie bepaalde waarden of een bepaalde verschijningsvorm een andere drukmethode heeft zoals bij de Zomerzegels van 1986 [offset loket-vellen, rasterdiepdruk boekjes] verdient dat vermelding. Wat nog te weinig onderkend wordt is dat bij de emissie Crouwel van 1976 er sinds 1990 sprake van een tweede emissie vanwege de gegraveerde cylinders. |
During the career of a series one rarely finds a radical change of printing methods. In the Netherlands the 1924 Lebeau numerals were printed in offset-litho, but from 1936 onwards more and more photogravure had been used. The Dutch catalogues prefer not to pay much atttention to that change. Several commemoratives or charity issues have been issued in both counter sheets and blocks or booklets and in those circumstances 2 differents methods could be found. The 1986 Summer set p.e. was printed in photogravure for the booklets and in offset-litho for the counter sheets. There is hardly any reference in specialist publications about the change-over to electronically engraved cylinders used for the 1976 Crouwel numerals. The stamps printed from the EEC - since 1990 - could be considered a complete new set. |
